The Deredge Lab was established in 2020 and is housed in the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Baltimore, Maryland. Research in the Deredge Lab focuses on:
1. The application of mass spectrometry-based biophysical approaches, with a particular focus on Hydrogen-Deuterium exchange, integrated with computational approaches for the structural and biophysical characterization of proteins within the context of protein structure and dynamics, protein/macromolecules interaction and protein/ligands interactions.
2. The structural and conformational characterization of the RNA dependent RNA polymerase from Dengue virus, Non Structural 5 protein (NS5), towards the development of novel therapeutics against Dengue.
